Love my Sony eReader!!!

I can't believe it's almost been TWO weeks since I last updated - shocking!!

I had a bit of a reading break between finishing the first draft and reading it over in two sittings (like to do this so I can see if it's working as a whole before being nitpicky and pulling it apart) but didn't read nearly as much as I'd hoped! I read a fabulous Blaze by Sarah Mayberry, some brilliant stuff by my CPs and Lost Dogs and Lonely Hearts by Lucy Dillon.

I was really, really, really tempted to look at my mss but forced myself to stay away for at least a week. I NEEDED distance to look at it objectively! Then yesterday morning I downloaded my mss onto my lovely Sony eReader so I could read it like a real, proper book.

Sure I love reading other people's books on my eReader but this is what I love most about it. Reading my own finished product!! I'm lucky to have the Touch edition which means I can annotate as I read.

So thanks to my beautiful eReader, I've now read through my whole mss and am starting on the edit.

Plan is to finish the edits, let it sit another week, then read over one more time to polish before subbing.

I told the editor mid-May - so YAY - looks like I'll make the deadline!!

I'm so tempted to get one of these! I've been worried about being restricted to where I can buy eBooks. Where do you buy yours from? What formats does it allow? (sorry for the questions!). Does yours have wifi, or do you need to use a USB to download books?

Also - super well done (again) on hwo you are going with your sub!

I love my sony ereader too! Its fab. Mainly buy from Waterstones and Mills and Boon website as I'm based in Britain. Have also bought pdf version books via ebay which worked fine. Have had a few issues with transfering books - particularly the 10 free books last year from everybody's reading.
Overall I use it most on holiday. I was the girl that used to stuff 14 books in my case, then have to sit on it to shut it! Then around about day 10 I would mope around the pool trying to read someone else's book as I had none left. Don't have those problems now!

I have a Sony 505 and a Kindle and I really, really love my Kindle. I read my MSs on it too. ;-) It's so fun!

Yay on the fab ms reading on your Sony. I'm all excited for you subbing. Sending lots of good wishes your way that your ed will LOVE the story :-)

Me, I read some books in their paper form and others on my iphone. I thought the small screen would get on my nerves, but I actually love it. I can download books in the same way as a Kindle so that's really cool

I'm very jealous of your e-reader. Will you bring it to the conference so I can have a play?

That's great news about being on schedule. It's awful when you feel like you're in a rush. Can't wait til you sub. I bet she's going to love it!
