Books Read in 2011!

Every year I keep a list of the books, I've read. I'm always amazed by how many it numbers, and this year, more so than ever. I felt like I hardly read at all. That was the one depressing thing about writing so much and all the lovely, yummy contracts that came with deadlines this year. It meant my reading potential decreased :( In the end though, I only read 12 books less than I did last year, so I guess it wasn't too terrible. I'm hoping for a lot more in 2012 - somehow!!

Hi Toni - yep, even though I'm on Goodreads, I still keep a list too. Although I'm scared I missed one or two books off.

Hi Michelle - glad to have inspired you and I can't wait to read YOUR list!

A book a week! Cool. And a few favourite authors I see there. I can't wait to read Marrying Daisy Bellamy, too.
Here's a few of my favourites: Flirting with Forty (Jane Porter), Chances and Secrets (Freya North), Animal Magnetism (Jill Shalvis), Dream a Little Dream and Match me if you Can (Susan Elizabeth Phillips), Explosive Eighteen (Janet Evanovich). And category: Shipwrecked with Mr Wrong and A Kiss to Seal the Deal (Nikki Logan), Heart of a Hero (Barbara Wallace), Nikki and the Lone Wolf (Marion Lennox). Heaps more read but a bit of a blur now. Chances probably my favourite.

Great job, Rach! I have some on my TBR pile but I will have to check out others as well.

I recently finished Captive by Christina Phillips -brilliant. As well as J.R. Ward's 'The Rebel' (writing as Jessica Bird) and Anna Campbell's 'Temp the Devil', Tracey O'Hara's 'Death's Sweet Embrace.' I've read a many more great books this year.

Happy reading in 2012!

Natalie - I didn't even realise it was a book a week. That sounds quite good :) And thanks so much for your list - there's a few on there that are DEFINITELY going on mine!

Eleni - see some fabulous Aussie authors on that list! We are so lucky to have so many talented writers down under :)

I also did a similar list on my blog today but I didn't come anywhere close to reading the same amount of books as you! Well done :)

I really wanna read Marrying Daisy Bellamy now! I hadn't heard of it so thanks so much for bringing it to my attention!

WOW Joanne - 84 is AMAZING!!! I didn't read too many category, so maybe that's why I'm slowing down :)

Bec - lol, yes, I definitely read all the brilliant LIFER as well, and maybe AP as well too :) But I loved them all!

I'm another that is so impressed you keep a list! And I'm so honoured that I got a little asterisk :)

This year has been basically a book drought, although I've been on holiday the past two weeks and have been reading up a storm - heaven! For some reason I've been devouring historical romances - Lorraine Heath, Pamela Morsi and Jennifer Ashley. I received What Alice Forgot for Christmas, so I'm looking forward to reading that, too. AND, of course, re-reading One Perfect Night ;)

Leah - your book DESERVED the asterix!!
